Currently we are running 5 men's, 2 ladies, 3 mixed and 1 Veterans team in the Cambridge & District and Hunts & Peterborough leagues. The Men's 1st team also plays in the National League.

Teams entering the leagues are based each year upon the number of club members wanting to play, court availability and volunteer/elected captains. By entering multiple teams we hope to offer all members who wish to play the chance to get some matches.

On each membership application/renewal form there is a question regarding your willingness to play in teams. Please don't be shy as our teams cover members with a wide variety of abilities and even if you forget to tick the box there are always spies about who pass on contact details to the captains.

A match fee of £4 (currently) is charged for each player/match (£1 for a student/junior). It is the individual captain's responsibility to collect these fees and pass to the Centre Manager so if you play please bring some money. For home matches the team brings a selection of refreshments as visiting teams often have no time to eat before travelling to a match. This is organised by the captain on a team by team basis i.e. some men like a few cans!!

All home matches are played on the outdoor courts and match fees cover the cost of balls and floodlights when required. The indoor courts can only be used in exceptional weather conditions provided that they are not booked by the Centre for courses or by individuals for private hire. Captains should check with the Centre Manager between 16.30-16.45 on the week-day in question to see if indoor courts could be used if it is raining or predicted to rain. On Saturdays and Sundays the decision will not be made until 12 noon and as there is a chance that the reception may not be manned then it is up to the captain or a more local team member to go to the Clubhouse and check the log book.

It is the responsibility of captains to ensure the Centre is locked up before leaving including the airhall.
