Huntingdon TC regularly enters teams in events run at the club and at other clubs based in the area. The team events start at mini red level (8&U), and are a fun way of introducing children to competing at both singles and doubles. The club also enters mini orange (9&U) and green (10&U) events, with a gradual progression in court and racket size and weight of ball to help children learn sound technique and tactics from a young age.
This year our mini red team won the Cambridgeshire league, and finished 2nd overall in the East Region Champions finals, which was competed for by the county champions of the 8 counties in the East. Our green girls team also won the county division, and finished 3rd overall in the Regional finals, see our successes below.
Due to the Club's success, see here, in producing mini players regularly representing the county, we are accredited as an LTA Performance Satellite Club, which means we receive some funding from the LTA to help coach potential future champions. The club also has targets with Tennis East including the number of children playing 6 matches in a year and the number of juniors who are British Tennis Members.

We have a Huntingdon mini logo, picked by a number of children from a number of designs produced by a Volunteer Club member who is as a graphics designer. The teams that represent the Club as Huntingdon Hotshots in regional events will wear a T-shirt with the Mini logo. At this stage we are actively looking for sponsorship so that the players in any team entered can wear a free T-shirt with the logos on. If you are or know of any person, group or company who might be interested in sponsoring our 'aces' please contact us at

Any child can buy a T-shirt at any time, see here, and we would positively encourage a second hand swop shop as chidren grow so quickly.
