The mini tennis groups are for all abilities, with the emphasis on learning in a fun environment. If a child shows talent and a desire to compete, they will be offered additional coaching in smaller groups and individual lessons, and encouraged to start playing matches in the local team and individual events. Those showing particular promise are put forward for county training and talent identification sessions with the LTA East region talent co-ordinator, who is employed to spot the best potential young players in the region and bring them together for extra training.
